Dinner is changing on six more Carnival ships. Carnival Cruise Line is bringing its new main dining room menu to more of the fleet this fall, according to an update from brand ambassador John Heald. The menu first appeared earlier this year and is already served in the main dining rooms of 18 Carnival ships, Cruise Industry News reported.
Which ships get the new menu, and when
Heald said in a social media post that six more ships are adding the menus, starting in October. Here is the schedule he shared:
| Ship | New menu starts |
|---|---|
| Carnival Elation | October 17, 2026 |
| Carnival Valor | October 17, 2026 |
| Carnival Horizon | October 18, 2026 sailing |
| Carnival Paradise | November 5, 2026 |
| Carnival Freedom | November 7, 2026 |
| Carnival Legend | November 19, 2026 sailing |
Carnival Elation and Carnival Valor went first, adding the menu on October 17. Carnival Horizon, which sails to the Caribbean from PortMiami, followed with its October 18 cruise. The last three ships switch over in November.
Add those six to the 18 ships already serving it, and the new menu will be in place on 24 ships by late November.
Australia and two more ships come later
Not every ship has a date yet. Heald said the menu will also reach Carnival's ships based in Australia, but the timing is still being worked out. Carnival Firenze and Carnival Radiance will get the new menu later as well.
What Heald said about the food
Heald did not hold back. "Personally, I love the new dinner menus," he wrote. He granted that food comes down to personal taste. But he said the new menus have been "brilliantly received and tremendously enjoyed by so many."
He also teased how much Carnival spends on food. "I would love to share with you what our culinary team has as their per person per day food budget to spend," he said. "Obviously I can't but, if I did, I think most of you would be gobsmacked at what that dollar figure is and how they manage to provide such a huge variety of excellent food choices for thousands of us to enjoy every day."
Heald's post, as reported, did not list the new dishes ship by ship.
What it means for your cruise
The main dining room is where most Carnival guests eat dinner, and it is included in the cruise fare. That makes its menu one of the biggest parts of the trip for many families. A new menu matters most to repeat guests. If you sail often on the same ship, a fresh lineup gives you new choices on a route you may know well.
If you are booked on one of the six ships, check your sailing date against the table above. A cruise that starts on or after the listed date should have the new menu. If your cruise starts before it, you will likely see the old one. Menus can still change on short notice, so the dining room staff on board are the final word.
If you sail from Australia, or on Carnival Firenze or Carnival Radiance, keep an eye out for updates from Carnival or from Heald, who often shares fleet news with fans on social media.
