Lines marked fleetwide have dedicated single-occupancy cabins available across the in-service fleet (not merely a waived double supplement on a two-person cabin). Lines marked some have solo cabins on only part of the fleet. Lines marked none have no dedicated solo cabins on file. Several large ocean lines have no solo-cabins field populated yet; we list that gap separately and do not invent values. Ship counts are in-service ships only.\n\n### 1. American Cruise Lines\n\n[Explore American Cruise Lines](https://cruisesfrog.com/cruise-lines/american-cruise-lines)\n\nFleetwide solo cabins on 24 river and coastal ships — largest solo-ready fleet in the catalog\n\n### 2. Lindblad Expeditions\n\n[Explore Lindblad Expeditions](https://cruisesfrog.com/cruise-lines/lindblad-expeditions)\n\nFleetwide solos on 12 expedition ships, including balcony suites on Endurance and Resolution\n\n### 3. Marella Cruises\n\n[Explore Marella Cruises](https://cruisesfrog.com/cruise-lines/marella-cruises)\n\nFleetwide single cabins from inside to balcony across 5 ships\n\n### 4. Ambassador Cruise Line\n\n[Explore Ambassador Cruise Line](https://cruisesfrog.com/cruise-lines/ambassador-cruise-line)\n\nFleetwide sole-occupancy cabins on 3 ships, including Renaissance solos\n\n### 5. Aurora Expeditions\n\n[Explore Aurora Expeditions](https://cruisesfrog.com/cruise-lines/aurora-expeditions)\n\nFleetwide solo balcony staterooms on 3 expedition ships\n\n### 6. Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines\n\n[Explore Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines](https://cruisesfrog.com/cruise-lines/fred-olsen-cruise-lines)\n\nFleetwide single cabins (inside, ocean view, balcony) on 3 ships\n\n## Solo cabins are still rare\n\nPaying for two beds when you travel alone is the default on most cruise lines. Dedicated solo cabins fix that, but they are scarce.\n\nWe checked the solo-cabins field on every line in the Cruise Frog catalog on October 22, 2026. Only six lines are marked fleetwide: they sell single-occupancy cabins across the ships they sail today. Eight more lines have solos on only some ships. Fifteen lines are marked none.\n\nThat short fleetwide list is the story. If avoiding a double supplement matters more than anything else, start here.\n\n## The six fleetwide lines\n\nAmerican Cruise Lines tops the list by ship count, with 24 in-service vessels and single staterooms on the fleet, many with balconies. It is a U.S. river and coastal product, not a Caribbean megaship brand.\n\nLindblad Expeditions follows with 12 ships. Solo balcony suites on National Geographic Endurance and Resolution are the headline, and other ships in the fleet also carry solo inventory.\n\nMarella Cruises, the TUI UK brand, has single cabins from inside to balcony across five ships. Ambassador Cruise Line, Aurora Expeditions and Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines each field three ships with fleetwide solo options.\n\n## Lines with solos on only some ships\n\nEight lines sit in the middle. AmaWaterways has singles on four older Europe ships. Celebrity sells Edge Single Infinite Veranda cabins on Edge, Apex, Beyond and Ascent, plus a single inside on Silhouette. Emerald Cruises keeps two Category ES singles on selected river ships.\n\nAIDA limits Einzelkabine inventory to AIDAnova and AIDAcosma. Holland America has Single Ocean View cabins on its three Pinnacle-class ships and plans Solo Verandahs on Oosterdam after the fall 2027 Evolution refit. Hurtigruten lists limited single-bed cabins on Polarlys and Richard With. Cunard and Crystal offer single rooms on part of their fleets.\n\n## Catalog gaps to know\n\nNorwegian is famous for Studio cabins and a shared Studio Lounge, and our Norwegian guides cover that product. The line's solo-cabins field is not populated in the same fleetwide/some/none format as the six leaders above, so it is not ranked in this table.\n\nRoyal Caribbean, Princess, Carnival, MSC, Disney, Virgin Voyages, Silversea, Regent, Seabourn, Oceania and Viking Ocean also lack a filled solo-cabins field in this export. Do not read a missing field as proof they have zero solo options — only that the structured flag is empty. We will update this ranking when those fields are complete.\n\n## How to book smarter\n\nEven on a fleetwide line, solo cabins sell out. Book early, and compare the solo fare with a double cabin at a discounted single supplement. On some sailings the supplement wins.\n\nAlso check what \"solo\" means. A true single cabin is built for one. A waived supplement puts you alone in a cabin meant for two, which can be a better deal if you want the space.\n\nFor line-by-line tips, browse our solo cruising guides, starting with [Lindblad Expeditions](https://cruisesfrog.com/cruise-lines/lindblad-expeditions) and [American Cruise Lines](https://cruisesfrog.com/cruise-lines/american-cruise-lines). Those pages spell out cabin types in more detail.","textStyle":"body","layout":"text"}]}
