Sales opened on Oct. 20. The ship will sail seven-day round-trip cruises in the Mediterranean from Barcelona, Spain, starting in May 2028.\n\nBella will be one of the two largest ships in the NCL fleet, alongside Norwegian Aura. Both are being built by Fincantieri in Italy.\n\n## Where Norwegian Bella will sail\n\nThe first season is built around one main route. Each seven-day cruise starts and ends in Barcelona. Ports include:\n\n* Palma de Mallorca, Spain\n* Marseille, France\n* Florence and Pisa, through the port of Livorno, Italy\n* Rome, through the port of Civitavecchia, Italy\n* Salerno, Italy, the gateway to the Amalfi Coast\n\nWith Bella in Europe and Aura in the Caribbean, NCL will have its newest ship design in two of the world's top cruise regions.\n\n## Size and cabins\n\nBella is about 1,129 feet long and about 170,000 gross tons. She will carry 3,921 guests at double occupancy. NCL says she will have nearly 2,000 cabins. These range from inside cabins and studios to balcony cabins for up to four guests. Some cabins connect, which helps families.\n\nThe Haven by Norwegian, NCL's keycard-only suite area, will have 159 suites. It sits at the back of the ship. It has private elevators, a sundeck with an infinity pool, two hot tubs, an outdoor sauna and a cold room. Haven guests also get a private restaurant, bar and lounge, plus 24-hour butler and concierge service.\n\n## Ocean Heights and the slides\n\nThe top of the ship gets a new open-air complex called Ocean Heights. It spans decks 18 to 21. By day it is a play area, and at night it turns into a social space with lights and LED projections.\n\nThe rides list is long:\n\n* **The Drop**, the Prima Class dry slide that drops guests 10 decks in seconds\n* **Bella Free Fall**, a waterslide\n* **The Wave**, a pendulum raft slide for up to four riders\n* **Eclipse Racers**, side-by-side racing slides\n* **Bella Ropes Course**, which NCL lists at 82 feet\n* **Bella Midway**, with classic carnival-style games\n* **Moon Climber**, a climbing course with no harness\n* A nine-hole mini golf course on deck 20\n\n## Pools, kids' spaces and an adults-only club\n\nNCL says Bella's pool deck is more than 15% larger than those on Norwegian Aqua and Norwegian Luna. It has an infinity hot tub and a big LED screen. Families also get a Kids' Aqua Park with a splash pad, the wide Party Slide and the figure-eight Infinity Loop slide.\n\nOn deck eight, Ocean Boulevard wraps around the whole ship. It gets more seats than on Aqua and Luna, plus hot tubs and an outdoor bar. Infinity Beach there has infinity pools and daybeds. Kids aged two to six get Little Explorers' Cay. Kids aged six to 10 get Adventure Alley, and teens get a hangout called Surf's Bay.\n\nAdults who want quiet can head to Vibe Beach Club. It is NCL's adults-only deck area with daybeds, loungers, hot tubs and a bar.\n\n## Hull art by George Rose\n\nBella will wear new hull art by Australian artist George Rose. She is known for bold murals and bright plant shapes. Rose said she wanted the design \"to capture the sense of wonder that travel inspires.\"\n\n## What NCL says\n\n\"Norwegian Bella marks a milestone moment in our fleet as the culmination of our award-winning Prima Class,\" said Marc Kazlauskas, president of Norwegian Cruise Line. He said the ship \"brings together our most sought-after experiences in one extraordinary ship.\"\n\n## Should you book now?\n\nEarly bookings give you the most cabin choice, especially for Haven suites and connecting rooms. Big Mediterranean summer sailings from Barcelona tend to be popular with families. If you want a specific cabin, booking early makes sense. If price matters most, watch for deals, since 2028 is still a long way off.\n\n## Sources\n\n* [Norwegian Cruise Line via PR Newswire: Norwegian Cruise Line opens for sale Norwegian Bella](https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/norwegian-cruise-line-opens-for-sale-norwegian-bella--the-newest-ship-to-sail-from-europe-beginning-may-2028-302914259.html)\n* [NCL: A complete guide to Norwegian Bella](https://www.ncl.com/travel-blog/a-complete-guide-to-norwegian-bella)","textStyle":"body","layout":"text"}]}
