About AIDAbella
AIDAbella is an AIDA Cruises cruise ship of the Sphinx class, in service since 2008. She measures 69,203 gross tons and carries 2,050 guests with a crew of 646. She sails Northern Europe, Caribbean, Norwegian Fjords itineraries. We rate her 3.0 out of 5.
AIDAbella is the second Sphinx-class ship, built by Meyer Werft in Papenburg and in service since 2008, with 1,025 cabins for about 2,050 guests. Its name was picked in a naming contest, and like its sisters it is built around a glass-walled Theatrium in the middle of the ship. From January to March 2026 it spent seven weeks in Marseille for its AIDA Evolution refit, which added restaurants and bars, family activity areas, new suites and two new spaces, the Sky Deck and the Rossini Lounge. It sails the Caribbean in winter from La Romana and Bridgetown and spends summer 2027 on Baltic, Norway and North Cape cruises from Kiel.

Cabins to avoid & quieter candidates
Deck 7 where Decks 6 and 8 also contain cabins
Compare central Deck 7 cabin overlap
Shortlist a room with accommodation immediately above and below, away from lift/stair lobbies, connecting doors, service access and laundrette entrances. Align the exact room rather than assuming the entire deck is equally quiet.
Why we flag this
The ship-specific edition shows accommodation across these decks. This is a conditional layout preference, not measured noise data or a guarantee of quiet. Check the source plan.
Deck 8 below occupied Deck 9 areas
Check Deck 8 beneath public facilities
Match the exact room with restaurants, bars, Theatrium and public circulation above. Ask about opening hours, setup and the actual overhead footprint.
Why we flag this
The selected operator plans and numbered venue key show public facilities on the upper deck above portions of this accommodation level. The caution applies only where the room and facility overlap. Check the source plan.
Deck 11 cabins near public venues and below Deck 12
Check upper accommodation near fitness and Theatrium
Where the plan shows a cabin on Deck 11, compare it with nearby fitness, Theatrium and outdoor circulation and with the exact Deck 12 pool or wellness footprint above. Do not confuse bookable cabins with spa treatment or day-use wellness rooms.
Why we flag this
The operator diagram shows limited Deck 11 accommodation among public facilities, while Deck 12 contains pool, outdoor and wellness areas. This note is conditional on the actual numbered cabin and overlap. Check the source plan.
Location-based guidance, not measured noise or a guarantee of quiet. Flags identify areas to investigate, not every cabin on a deck. Which cabins are good choices on AIDAbella?
For the “Official published plan — no sailing window stated” plan, start with these quieter-location candidates: Deck 7 where Decks 6 and 8 also contain cabins: Shortlist a room with accommodation immediately above and below, away from lift/stair lobbies, connecting doors, service access and laundrette entrances. Align the exact room rather than assuming the entire deck is equally quiet. Compare the exact cabin with the decks above and below, nearby lifts and connecting doors. These are layout-based suggestions, not a guarantee of quiet.
Which cabins should I avoid or check carefully on AIDAbella?
For the “Official published plan — no sailing window stated” plan, review these flagged locations before booking: Deck 8 below occupied Deck 9 areas: Match the exact room with restaurants, bars, Theatrium and public circulation above. Ask about opening hours, setup and the actual overhead footprint. Deck 11 cabins near public venues and below Deck 12: Where the plan shows a cabin on Deck 11, compare it with nearby fitness, Theatrium and outdoor circulation and with the exact Deck 12 pool or wellness footprint above. Do not confuse bookable cabins with spa treatment or day-use wellness rooms. These flags are not measured noise reports or a warning about every room on a deck. Read the sourced cabin advice for the evidence and any explicit operator warnings.
How can I check whether a cabin is under a pool, nightclub or theatre?
Find the cabin on the selected plan, then compare the same fore-and-aft position on the deck above and below. Check the full venue footprint, including outdoor seating, stages, service areas and entrances. Nearby activity can be a reason to investigate, but does not by itself prove a cabin is noisy. Use the cabin advice and its sources to distinguish layout cautions from operator warnings.
