About AIDAnova

AIDAnova is an AIDA Cruises cruise ship of the Excellence class, in service since 2018. She measures 183,858 gross tons and carries 5,252 guests with a crew of 1,646. She sails Northern Europe, Norwegian Fjords itineraries. We rate her 3.3 out of 5.

AIDAnova was the first cruise ship able to run entirely on liquefied natural gas when Meyer Werft delivered it in December 2018. The 183,858-ton Excellence-class ship, AIDA's largest along with its sister AIDAcosma, carries about 5,250 guests at double occupancy and a crew of about 1,650. Its maiden voyage on 19 December 2018 was a week around the Canary Islands and Madeira from Tenerife, and in 2019 it became the first cruise ship to receive Germany's Blue Angel eco-label for its design. It now sails Western Europe and Norway cruises from Hamburg in winter and Norwegian fjord voyages from Kiel in summer.
