About AmaMagna

AmaMagna is an AmaWaterways cruise ship, in service since 2019. She carries 196 guests with a crew of 70. She sails Danube itineraries. We rate her 4.0 out of 5.

AmaMagna, in service on the Danube since 2019, is about 22 meters wide, twice the width of a standard European river ship, and the largest cruise ship on that river. The extra beam goes into 98 rooms of 355 to 710 square feet for 196 guests and four restaurants: the Main Restaurant, The Chef's Table, the family-style Jimmy's and the vegetable-led Al Fresco. She also has a Zen Wellness Studio, a Sun Deck pool and whirlpool, and a pickleball court. Her diesel-electric plant uses ten smaller engines that run as needed, and her sister AmaRudi is due in 2027.

Cabins to avoid & quieter candidates

  • Cello Deck under Violin Deck cabins

    Start with Cello Deck accommodation

Compare a room below accommodation and away from the restaurant lobby and lift. Check the smaller Piano Deck footprint before calling a room cabin-sandwiched.

    Why we flag this

The wide-ship plan shows long accommodation blocks on Cello and Violin Decks, with a much shorter Piano Deck cabin block and public spaces forward. Check the source plan.

  • Violin Deck under Sun Deck activity

Check Violin Deck beneath pool and sports areas

Locate the suite against the pool, whirlpool, walking circuit and pickleball court above. A large upper-deck suite does not automatically avoid activity overhead.

    Why we flag this

This ship's Sun Deck plan identifies a pool, whirlpool and pickleball court. These are layout reasons to investigate timing and overlap, not confirmed disturbance reports. Check the source plan.

  • Piano Deck cabins near the wine bar and Chef's Table

Check the Piano Deck venue adjacency

Ask about evening dining, public doors and service access before choosing a lower-deck cabin near these venues. Also compare Violin Deck cabin ends with the lounge and wellness spaces.

    Why we flag this

The map places a wine bar and Chef's Table forward of the Piano Deck accommodation. AmaMagna shows its wellness studio and treatment rooms aft on Violin Deck, and lounge/cinema areas forward. Check the source plan.

Location-based guidance, not measured noise or a guarantee of quiet. Flags identify areas to investigate, not every cabin on a deck. Check the exact room, connecting doors, accessibility and the plan for your sailing date. Official ship-specific interactive deck artwork captured 21 October 2026. Download compiled by Cruise Frog; it is not a separate operator-issued PDF brochure. Named decks use bottom-to-top viewer levels: 4 = Sun Deck, 3 = Violin Deck, 2 = Cello Deck, 1 = Piano Deck.. Which cabins are good choices on AmaMagna?

For the “Published ship layout - reviewed October 2026” plan, start with these quieter-location candidates: Cello Deck under Violin Deck cabins: Compare a room below accommodation and away from the restaurant lobby and lift. Check the smaller Piano Deck footprint before calling a room cabin-sandwiched. Compare the exact cabin with the decks above and below, nearby lifts and connecting doors. These are layout-based suggestions, not a guarantee of quiet.

Which cabins should I avoid or check carefully on AmaMagna?

For the “Published ship layout - reviewed October 2026” plan, review these flagged locations before booking: Violin Deck under Sun Deck activity: Locate the suite against the pool, whirlpool, walking circuit and pickleball court above. A large upper-deck suite does not automatically avoid activity overhead. Piano Deck cabins near the wine bar and Chef's Table: Ask about evening dining, public doors and service access before choosing a lower-deck cabin near these venues. Also compare Violin Deck cabin ends with the lounge and wellness spaces. These flags are not measured noise reports or a warning about every room on a deck. Read the sourced cabin advice for the evidence and any explicit operator warnings.

How can I check whether a cabin is under a pool, nightclub or theatre?

Find the cabin on the selected plan, then compare the same fore-and-aft position on the deck above and below. Check the full venue footprint, including outdoor seating, stages, service areas and entrances. Nearby activity can be a reason to investigate, but does not by itself prove a cabin is noisy. Use the cabin advice and its sources to distinguish layout cautions from operator warnings.
