About Bremen
Bremen is a former Hapag-Lloyd Cruises cruise ship, which sailed 1993 to 2020. She measured 6,752 gross tons and carried 155 guests. She sailed Antarctica itineraries.
Bremen was a small expedition ship built by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in Kobe, Japan, in 1990 as Frontier Spirit and sailed by Hapag-Lloyd Cruises from 1993. With room for 155 guests at 6,752 gross tons, she worked the polar regions: her crew charted the newly found Bremen Island in Antarctica in 2003, and in 2006 she transited the Northwest Passage. Hapag-Lloyd sold her to the Swiss company Scylla to make way for Hanseatic Spirit, laid her up at Warnemünde in July 2020 and handed her over in Rostock on 29 October 2020. Renamed Seaventure, she has since sailed for other expedition operators.
