About Finnmarken
Finnmarken is a Hurtigruten cruise ship, in service since 2002. She measures 15,690 gross tons and carries 526 guests. She sails Norwegian Fjords, Northern Europe itineraries. We rate her 2.7 out of 5.
Finnmarken is a 15,690-ton hybrid-powered ship built by Kleven in Ulsteinvik that began her maiden voyage on 6 April 2002, the third Hurtigruten ship to carry the name. She sailed the coastal route, served as a hotel ship for a gas project in Western Australia from 2010 to 2012, and returned to Norway. After a 2020 renovation she sailed as Otto Sverdrup from 2021, first in the expedition fleet and from 2024 on Hurtigruten's Signature voyages, and took back her original name in April 2025. She carries up to 526 guests in 263 cabins, with an outdoor pool, hot tubs, a wellness area and three restaurants, and sails year-round all-inclusive voyages from Hamburg to the North Cape with German as the main language.
