About Havila Capella

Havila Capella is a Havila Voyages cruise ship, in service since 2021. She measures 15,519 gross tons and carries 468 guests with a crew of 78. She sails Norwegian Fjords itineraries. We rate her 3.5 out of 5.

Havila Capella was the first of Havila Voyages' four identical coastal ships, built at the Tersan yard in Turkey, launched in September 2020 and placed in service on 12 December 2021 on the Bergen–Kirkenes route. The 124-meter, 15,519-ton ship has 179 cabins for overnight guests plus space for 172 day travelers, and her liquefied natural gas engines work with a 6.1 MWh battery pack that allows stretches of emission-free sailing. Sanctions on the company that financed her kept her in Bergen from April 2022 until a court ruling in late June let Havila resume sailing her. She received the Next Generation Ship Award at the Nor-Shipping fair in 2022.
