About Island Princess
Island Princess is a Princess Cruises cruise ship of the Coral class, in service since 2003. She measures 91,627 gross tons and carries 2,214 guests with a crew of 900. She sails Panama Canal, Alaska, Hawaii, South Pacific itineraries. We rate her 4.0 out of 5.
Island Princess is the second Coral-class ship, built by Chantiers de l'Atlantique and in service since July 2003; she and Coral Princess are the only Panamax ships in the Princess fleet. A major 2015 refit removed a lounge and part of the promenade to add 121 cabins, raising capacity to about 2,200 guests at double occupancy, and her latest major dry dock was at Fincantieri in Palermo in September 2024. She has no single base: Princess uses her for Panama Canal voyages between the West Coast and Fort Lauderdale, a South Pacific and Hawaii voyage from Los Angeles, and Alaska sailings between Vancouver and Whittier.

Cabins to avoid & quieter candidates
Deck 10 between accommodation on Decks 9 and 11
Start with central Deck 10 accommodation
Compare a room with accommodation immediately above and below, away from lift lobbies, stairs, connecting doors and service access. Check laundromat entrances and public or technical footprints separately.
Why we flag this
The selected ship-specific sailing edition shows accommodation across these decks. This is a conditional layout shortlist, not measured noise data or a guarantee of quiet. Check the source plan.
Deck 12 under occupied Deck 14 areas
Check Deck 12 beneath pools and dining
Match the exact room to pool, whirlpool, buffet/dining, outdoor seating and public circulation footprints above. Ask about opening hours and early furniture setup where the areas overlap.
Why we flag this
The selected operator diagram places major pool and dining areas on the upper deck above portions of this accommodation deck. Some sections contain cabins or different facilities, so the flag does not apply to every room equally. Check the source plan.
Deck 8 over occupied Deck 7 areas
Check Deck 8 above public venues
Compare the room with entertainment, dining, bars, theatre and circulation footprints below. Confirm any partial or obstructed view and balcony railing type separately for the actual cabin.
Why we flag this
The selected ship maps show major public spaces beneath portions of this accommodation area. The flag describes adjacency rather than a confirmed disturbance complaint or a view warning for every cabin. Check the source plan.
Location-based guidance, not measured noise or a guarantee of quiet. Flags identify areas to investigate, not every cabin on a deck. Check the exact room, connecting doors, accessibility and the plan for your sailing date.
