About Kong Harald
Kong Harald is a Hurtigruten cruise ship, in service since 1993. She measures 11,204 gross tons and carries 577 guests. She sails Norwegian Fjords itineraries. We rate her 2.7 out of 5.
Kong Harald is an 11,204-ton coastal ship completed in 1993 and named for King Harald V of Norway; she is a sister of Richard With and Nordlys. She has 218 cabins, including two suites, and beds for up to 577 guests. A 2016 refurbishment gave her an Arctic-inspired interior, and in 2023 she was converted to a battery-hybrid ship with new engines, which Hurtigruten says cut fuel use and carbon emissions by about a quarter. On board are three restaurants, the Multe bakery and ice-cream bar, a sauna, a fitness room, two outdoor hot tubs and a panorama lounge on the top deck. She sails the Original Bergen–Kirkenes coastal route year-round.
