About Maasdam

Maasdam is a former Holland America Line cruise ship of the Statendam class, which sailed 1993 to 2020. She measured 55,575 gross tons and carried 1,258 guests with a crew of 580. She sailed South Pacific itineraries.

Maasdam was a Statendam-class ship built in Italy that sailed for Holland America from 1993 to 2020, moving between regions with the seasons. A 2011 dry dock in Freeport added passenger capacity. Her last seasons included South Pacific voyages, and in March 2020 her guests were kept from disembarking in Honolulu amid early COVID-19 fears. Holland America sold her with Veendam to the Greek ferry operator Seajets, with the transfer due in August 2020; renamed Aegean Myth, she never sailed for them. After a refit in Brest she returned to service in June 2023 as Renaissance and is now part of the Ambassador group.
