About Marella Dream

Marella Dream is a former Marella Cruises cruise ship, which sailed 2010 to 2020. She measured 54,763 gross tons.

Marella Dream was built by Meyer Werft in 1986 as Home Lines' Homeric and was lengthened in 1990 while sailing for Holland America Line as Westerdam. After years as Costa Europa, she joined the line, then Thomson Cruises, on a ten-year charter in April 2010 as Thomson Dream and took the Marella name in 2017. Marella announced her retirement on 1 October 2020 during the COVID-19 shutdown, moving her planned sailings to Marella Discovery. She was sold to Turkish shipbreakers, renamed Ella, and arrived at Aliağa for scrapping in June 2022.
