About Margaritaville at Sea Paradise

Margaritaville at Sea Paradise is a Margaritaville at Sea cruise ship of the Classica class, in service since 1991. She measures 52,926 gross tons and carries 1,308 guests with a crew of 620. She sails Bahamas, Caribbean itineraries. We rate her 3.0 out of 5.

Margaritaville at Sea Paradise is the line's first and smallest ship, a 52,926-gross-ton vessel built by Fincantieri at Monfalcone and delivered in December 1991 as Costa Classica for Costa Cruises. She became Costa neoClassica in 2014, was sold in 2018 to Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line as Grand Classica, and took her present name in 2022 after a rebranding refit at the Grand Bahama Shipyard. A two-week dry dock in May 2023 brought new dining venues and menus, gym upgrades, a pickleball court and two new shows. She sails short cruises from the Port of Palm Beach to Grand Bahama, Nassau and Bimini and to Key West, and her 2027 schedule adds first calls at Puerto Plata and Grand Turk.

Margaritaville at Sea has no solo cabins or published solo pricing, but its short, low-cost sailings from Florida and Texas make going alone easy to try.

  2. Beachcomber is a new Margaritaville ship, not a newly built ship: what to check

Margaritaville at Sea Beachcomber will be new to the line, but the ship itself began life as Costa Fortuna. I would use that distinction to ask better booking questions, rather than assume either that a refit fixes everything or that an older hull cannot offer a good holiday.
