About National Geographic Quest
National Geographic Quest is a Lindblad Expeditions cruise ship of the Quest class, in service since 2017. She measures 2,920 gross tons and carries 100 guests with a crew of 52. She sails Alaska, Mexican Riviera, Panama Canal, Pacific Coast itineraries. We rate her 3.2 out of 5.
National Geographic Quest was the first ship Lindblad ordered new, built with her sister National Geographic Venture by Nichols Brothers Boat Builders at Freeland on Whidbey Island, Washington. Because she is U.S.-built, U.S.-flagged and U.S.-owned, she can sail itineraries entirely within the United States. She carries 100 guests in 50 cabins, has a shallow draft for coves and channels, and carries kayaks, paddleboards, a remotely operated vehicle and a hydrophone. A launch mishap in June 2017 damaged a propeller and rudder and delayed her debut until a maiden voyage from Juneau on 29 July 2017. She sails Alaska and British Columbia in summer and Baja California, Costa Rica and Panama in winter.
