About Norwegian Epic
Norwegian Epic is a Norwegian Cruise Line cruise ship, in service since 2010. She measures 155,873 gross tons and carries 4,070 guests with a crew of 1,724. She sails Mediterranean, Caribbean, Transatlantic itineraries. We rate her 3.7 out of 5.
Norwegian Epic is a one-of-a-kind ship of about 155,900 gross tons carrying 4,070 guests at double occupancy, built at the Chantiers de l'Atlantique yard in Saint-Nazaire, France, under Norwegian's F3 project. A planned sister was canceled in 2008, and Epic was delivered in June 2010 as the third-largest cruise ship in the world at the time. A three-week dry dock in spring 2025 refreshed her Kids' Aqua Park, enlarged the adults-only Vibe Beach Club and added eight staterooms. She sails Caribbean cruises from Port Canaveral in winter and Mediterranean voyages between Barcelona and Rome (Civitavecchia) in summer.

Cabins to avoid & quieter candidates
Deck 10 where accommodation overlaps on Decks 9 and 11
Start with forward-to-mid Deck 10 cabins
Compare a room with accommodation immediately above and below, away from lifts, stairs, connecting doors and service access. Check aft entertainment, Haven facilities and other public sections separately.
Why we flag this
The ship-specific plan and room lists show accommodation on these decks. The suggestion depends on the exact vertical footprint and does not claim that every section is cabin-only or quiet. Check the source plan.
Deck 14 under occupied Deck 15 spaces
Check Deck 14 beneath pools and buffet areas
Match the exact room to Garden Café, Waves Pool Bar, Aqua Park, Kids' Aqua Park, Main Pool above. Ask about operating hours, early setup and furniture movement where the footprints overlap.
Why we flag this
The selected official deck list names these facilities on the upper deck. The diagram shows their positions relative to the accommodation below; this is a layout caution, not a confirmed noise report. Check the source plan.
Deck 8 over occupied Deck 7 areas
Check Deck 8 above lower-deck public spaces
Compare the exact cabin with dining, bars, lounges, theatre/nightclub and public circulation footprints below. Check nearby entrances, operating hours and balcony privacy instead of choosing by category alone.
Why we flag this
The ship-specific diagrams and venue lists show public activity on the lower deck adjoining portions of this accommodation area. The relationship varies along the ship and does not flag every cabin equally. Check the source plan.
Location-based guidance, not measured noise or a guarantee of quiet. Flags identify areas to investigate, not every cabin on a deck. Check the exact room, connecting doors, accessibility and the plan for your sailing date. All published guest decks from the ship-specific Norwegian interactive viewer.
