About Saga Sapphire

Saga Sapphire is a former Saga Cruises cruise ship, which sailed 2012 to 2020. She measured 37,049 gross tons.

Saga Sapphire was built by Bremer Vulkan in Bremen and entered service in January 1982 as Hapag-Lloyd's Europa, later sailing as SuperStar Europe, SuperStar Aries, Holiday Dream and Bleu de France. Saga bought her in 2010 and, after an extensive refit at Fincantieri that added balcony cabins, put her into service in April 2012. Saga retired her as part of its fleet renewal, and her sale to the Turkish tour operator ANEX Tour was completed on 18 June 2020; she now sails as Blue Sapphire.
