About Silver Cloud
Silver Cloud is a Silversea Cruises cruise ship, in service since 1994. She measures 17,400 gross tons and carries 254 guests with a crew of 212. She sails Antarctica, South Pacific, Australia and New Zealand, Asia itineraries. We rate her 4.3 out of 5.
Silver Cloud was Silversea's first ship, entering service in April 1994 after her hull was built at the Visentini yard near Venice and finished by T. Mariotti in Genoa. She was designed with verandas on most suites, unusual at the time, and spent her first two decades on classic voyages in Europe, the Caribbean and South America. A 2017 rebuild brought her up to ice class for expedition cruising, and Silversea now sails her with 254 guests, 20 Zodiacs and 10 kayaks. In 2026-27 she sails Antarctica from Puerto Williams, then French Polynesia and the South Pacific, Asia and Australia's Kimberley coast.

Cabins to avoid & quieter candidates
Deck 6 where suites also overlap on Decks 5 and 7
Start with forward-to-mid Deck 6 suites
Compare a suite with accommodation immediately above and below, away from lifts, stairs, connecting doors, laundrettes and public-venue entrances. Check the aft public areas separately.
Why we flag this
The ship-specific plan shows accommodation on all three decks, with public or technical areas in some sections. This is a conditional layout shortlist, not measured sound data. Check the source plan.
Deck 7 below occupied Deck 8 public areas
Check Deck 7 beneath the pool deck
Align the exact suite with pool, whirlpool, bar, outdoor seating and dining footprints above. Ask about hours and early furniture setup where the areas overlap.
Why we flag this
The operator artwork places pool and public spaces on the deck above portions of these suites. Some areas contain suites or technical spaces instead, so the flag does not cover every room equally. Check the source plan.
Deck 5 and adjacent public facilities
Check Deck 5 near public and service spaces
Match the exact suite to public dining, entertainment, wellness or service footprints beside and below it. Ask about the nearest venue and corridor separation before booking.
Why we flag this
The ship-specific diagram mixes accommodation with public or service spaces in this part of the ship. This is an inferred adjacency caution, not a verified noise complaint. Check the source plan.
Location-based guidance, not measured noise or a guarantee of quiet. Flags identify areas to investigate, not every cabin on a deck.
