About Wilderness Explorer

Wilderness Explorer is an UnCruise Adventures cruise ship, in service since 1976. She carries 74 guests. She sails Alaska, Pacific Coast itineraries. We rate her 3.0 out of 5.

Wilderness Explorer, built in 1976, is the oldest ship in the UnCruise fleet: a 56-metre, U.S.-flagged vessel with 37 cabins for 74 guests on three decks. UnCruise describes her as a strong sea boat and notes that she is the only one of its ships to have spent two winters in Southeast Alaska. Her lounge has wraparound windows and a bar, the bow viewing area has a hot tub, and an EZ Dock platform on the main deck launches kayaks and paddleboards. She sails from Seward into Prince William Sound and out to Kodiak, Dutch Harbor and the Aleutian Islands, as well as between Seward and Juneau and through the Inside Passage.
