About Regent Seven Seas Cruises

The fleet has six ships carrying about 500 to 750 guests each: Seven Seas Navigator (1999), Mariner (2001) and Voyager (2003), and the larger Seven Seas Explorer, Splendor and Grandeur (2016-2023). Mariner and Voyager were refurbished in 2025 and 2026. Seven Seas Prestige, the first of a new, larger class carrying 822 guests, debuts in December 2026, with sister ships planned for 2030, 2033 and 2036. The ships roam worldwide, from Alaska, Northern Europe and the Mediterranean to Asia, Australia, South America and annual world cruises.

Fares include unlimited shore excursions in every port, specialty restaurants, fine wines and premium spirits, a daily refilled minibar, unlimited Wi-Fi, gratuities and valet laundry, plus a pre-cruise hotel night for Concierge-level suites and above; the top fare also covers flights and transfers. Besides voyages of one to a few weeks, Regent sells Grand Voyages and world cruises of up to 150 nights.

What Regent Seven Seas Cruises is known for

Regent is known for one of the most inclusive fares in cruising: excursions, drinks, specialty dining, Wi-Fi and gratuities are all in the price, so there are few bills on board. It also stresses space and service, with suites for every guest and high crew numbers; Seven Seas Prestige, for example, will have one crew member for every 1.31 guests. Its newer ships have very large top suites, such as the 4,443-square-foot Regent Suite on Seven Seas Splendor.

The flip side is that everything is priced into the fare, so guests who skip excursions or drink little pay for inclusions they do not use. The three older ships date from 1999 to 2003 and are smaller and simpler than the Explorer-class trio, although Mariner and Voyager were refurbished in 2025 and 2026 and Navigator has a dry dock planned for late 2026.

Who it's for

Luxury · small ships, a high crew-to-guest ratio, most extras included

  • Couples
  • History and culture
  • Food lovers

Regent suits travelers, often couples, who want a luxury trip where almost everything is paid in advance: guests who plan to join excursions in most ports, enjoy wine and cocktails with dinner and value roomy suites and attentive service. Its port-rich itineraries, Grand Voyages and world cruises suit culturally curious travelers with time to spare, and its specialty restaurants and cooking classes appeal to food lovers.

Families with young children, budget-minded travelers and anyone after big-ship attractions or busy nightlife will find better matches on mainstream lines such as Norwegian Cruise Line; travelers who want a culinary focus with a lower fare and fewer inclusions might compare Oceania Cruises.
