Cabins to avoid & quieter candidates
Midship cabin sections on Decks 10, 11, 12 and 14, away from lifts and laundrettes
Quieter starting point: cabins between cabin decks
These cabin sections have accommodation above and below, reducing direct exposure to public venue floors. Check the precise cabin against both adjacent plans; this does not guarantee silence.
Why we flag this
The published deck plans show accommodation on Decks 9–12 and 14–15. There is no Deck 13 in the published plan. Check the source plan.
Midship and aft sections of Deck 15 beneath public areas on Deck 16
Check below Lido pools, bars and dining
Pool activity, deck furniture and restaurant preparation may be audible overhead. Forward Deck 15 cabins sit below a cabin area instead, so location matters.
Why we flag this
Deck 16 labels SkyDome Pool, Laguna Bar, Taste 360, Horizon Restaurant and an aft Infinity Pool, while Deck 15 contains cabins below these public areas. This is a layout-based caution, not a measured noise report. Check the source plan.
Deck 5 cabin areas beneath the public venue footprint on Deck 6
Check cabins below entertainment and evening venues
Compare the exact room with the Limelight Club, Amber Lounge, Grand Atrium and The 710 Club before choosing a cabin if early nights matter. Sound transfer depends on the room and event schedule.
Why we flag this
Deck 6 identifies these entertainment and lounge venues; Deck 5 contains accommodation beneath portions of the public deck. No exact affected cabin numbers are asserted. Check the source plan.
Deck 8 cabins adjoining the Promenade Deck
Promenade balconies: check privacy and passing foot traffic
A balcony facing a public promenade may have less privacy and more passing activity than a balcony on a higher cabin deck. Check the cabin symbols and adjacent walking route.
Why we flag this
The official PDF labels Deck 8 as the Promenade Deck and its cabin notes identify balconies overlooked by the Promenade Deck or neighbouring cabins. Use the marked cabin symbols rather than assuming every Deck 8 cabin is affected. Check the source plan.
Deck 8 cabin sections above the Deck 7 theatre, casino, shops and Brodie’s
Check Deck 8 cabins above public venues
If sensitive to evening sound, compare the exact cabin with the venues below. The promenade and venue footprint vary along the ship.
Why we flag this
Deck 7 labels Headliners Theatre, Casino, Brodie’s and The Glass House; Deck 8 combines forward accommodation and promenade/public areas. This is a venue-adjacency screening note, not a passenger noise complaint. Check the source plan.
Location-based guidance, not measured noise or a guarantee of quiet. Flags identify areas to investigate, not every cabin on a deck. Which cabins are good choices on Arvia?
For the “Official W28 published deck plan” plan, start with these quieter-location candidates: Midship cabin sections on Decks 10, 11, 12 and 14, away from lifts and laundrettes: These cabin sections have accommodation above and below, reducing direct exposure to public venue floors. Check the precise cabin against both adjacent plans; this does not guarantee silence. Compare the exact cabin with the decks above and below, nearby lifts and connecting doors. These are layout-based suggestions, not a guarantee of quiet.
Which cabins should I avoid or check carefully on Arvia?
For the “Official W28 published deck plan” plan, review these flagged locations before booking: Midship and aft sections of Deck 15 beneath public areas on Deck 16: Pool activity, deck furniture and restaurant preparation may be audible overhead. Forward Deck 15 cabins sit below a cabin area instead, so location matters. Deck 5 cabin areas beneath the public venue footprint on Deck 6: Compare the exact room with the Limelight Club, Amber Lounge, Grand Atrium and The 710 Club before choosing a cabin if early nights matter. How can I check whether a cabin is under a pool, nightclub or theatre?
Find the cabin on the selected plan, then compare the same fore-and-aft position on the deck above and below. Check the full venue footprint, including outdoor seating, stages, service areas and entrances. Nearby activity can be a reason to investigate, but does not by itself prove a cabin is noisy. Use the cabin advice and its sources to distinguish layout cautions from operator warnings.
