About Boudicca

Boudicca is a former Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines cruise ship of the Royal Viking Star class, which sailed 2006 to 2020. She measured 28,388 gross tons.

Boudicca was built by Wärtsilä in Helsinki and delivered in 1973 as Royal Viking Sky, and was lengthened to about 205 meters in 1982. She sailed under many names, including Golden Princess and SuperStar Capricorn, before Fred. Olsen bought her in 2005 and, after new engines, put her into service in February 2006. Based for a time in Liverpool, she had a significant renovation at Blohm + Voss in 2018. Fred. Olsen announced her sale with Black Watch on 21 August 2020; she was resold for scrap and beached at Aliağa, Turkey, in May 2021.
