About Costa Atlantica
Costa Atlantica is a former Costa Cruises cruise ship of the Spirit class, which sailed 2000 to 2020. She measured 85,619 gross tons and carried 2,114 guests with a crew of 897. She sailed Asia itineraries.
Costa Atlantica was an 85,619-ton Spirit-class ship built in Helsinki and in Costa service from July 2000, the first ship delivered to Costa under Carnival's ownership. Each passenger deck was named after a Federico Fellini film, and the decor included Carrara marble, Murano glass and a copy of Venice's Caffe Florian. In its early years it sailed the Caribbean in winter, Europe in summer and the North American East Coast in spring and fall; later it operated from China, including a 46-day voyage from Tianjin to the South Pacific in 2016. Costa handed the ship to CSSC Carnival Cruise Shipping on 12 January 2020, but it never sailed for that company, and since 2024 it has operated as Margaritaville at Sea Islander.
