About Costa Fortuna
Costa Fortuna is a former Costa Cruises cruise ship of the Fortuna class, which sailed 2003 to 2026. She measured 102,669 gross tons and carried 2,702 guests with a crew of 1,090. She sailed Mediterranean, Canary Islands itineraries.
Costa Fortuna was a 102,669-ton ship built by Fincantieri on the platform of Carnival's Destiny class and in service with Costa from November 2003 until September 2026. Its decor paid tribute to historic Italian liners, with ship models on display and the atrium ceiling hung with upside-down models of Costa's past and present fleet. It carried about 2,700 guests at double occupancy and had been based in China before a 2018 refit in Singapore returned it to Europe. In its final seasons it sailed the Eastern and Western Mediterranean in summer and the Canary Islands in winter. Costa sold the ship to Margaritaville at Sea, which is renaming it Margaritaville at Sea Beachcomber after a refit in Belfast.

Margaritaville at Sea Beachcomber will be new to the line, but the ship itself began life as Costa Fortuna. I would use that distinction to ask better booking questions, rather than assume either that a refit fixes everything or that an older hull cannot offer a good holiday.
