About Grand Celebration

Grand Celebration is a former Margaritaville at Sea cruise ship of the Holiday class, which sailed 1987 to 2020. She measured 47,262 gross tons and carried 1,496 guests with a crew of 670. She sailed Bahamas itineraries.

Grand Celebration was the first ship of Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line, the company that became Margaritaville at Sea in 2022. Built in Sweden by Kockums and delivered in 1987 as Carnival Cruise Lines' Celebration, the 47,262-gross-ton Holiday-class ship later sailed for Iberocruceros and was briefly renamed Costa Celebration before Bahamas Paradise bought her at the end of 2014. From February 2015 she ran short cruises from the Port of Palm Beach to Freeport on Grand Bahama. Her sailings stopped in March 2020 when the pandemic halted cruising, and the line sold her in November 2020. Renamed Grand, she was beached for scrapping at Alang, India, in January 2021.
