About Majesty of the Seas
Majesty of the Seas is a former Royal Caribbean International cruise ship of the Sovereign class, which sailed 1992 to 2020. She measured 73,941 gross tons and carried 2,350 guests with a crew of 833. She sailed Caribbean, Bahamas itineraries.
Majesty of the Seas was the third Sovereign-class ship, built at Chantiers de l'Atlantique and placed in Royal Caribbean service in April 1992 with Queen Sonja of Norway as her godmother. She spent much of her career on four- and five-night Caribbean cruises from Florida, and a multimillion-dollar dry dock in January 2007 refreshed her pool decks, public rooms and cabins. Her cruising stopped in March 2020 when the pandemic suspended operations, and in December 2020 Royal Caribbean sold her to Seajets. Renamed Majesty and then Majesty of the Oceans, she has remained laid up in Greece.
