About Margaritaville at Sea Beachcomber

Margaritaville at Sea Beachcomber is joining Margaritaville at Sea of the Fortuna class: in service since 2003, she is due to start sailing for the line on January 9, 2027. She will measure 102,669 gross tons and will carry 2,702 guests with a crew of 1,090. She is set to sail Caribbean, Bahamas itineraries.

Margaritaville at Sea Beachcomber is the line's upcoming third and largest ship: the former Costa Fortuna, a 102,669-gross-ton Fortuna-class ship built by Fincantieri that entered service with Costa Cruises in November 2003. Margaritaville at Sea announced the purchase in May 2025, with Costa keeping the ship in service until late 2026 ahead of a makeover. The line has scheduled her first cruise from PortMiami for January 9, 2027, after a christening by Zac Brown, with mostly seven-night Eastern and Southern Caribbean voyages before a move to Galveston in October 2027. Announced features include Same Boat, a live music venue created with Zac Brown, what the line calls the largest 5 o'Clock Somewhere bar, two Bridge Wing Suites and a new spa.

Margaritaville at Sea Beachcomber will be new to the line, but the ship itself began life as Costa Fortuna. I would use that distinction to ask better booking questions, rather than assume either that a refit fixes everything or that an older hull cannot offer a good holiday.
