About Mekong Mystique

Mekong Mystique is a new Uniworld Boutique River Cruises cruise ship, due to enter service in 2028. She will carry 68 guests with a crew of 51. She is set to sail Mekong itineraries.

Mekong Mystique is an upcoming all-suite river ship for 68 guests that Uniworld will add on the Mekong in 2028, alongside Mekong Jewel. Uniworld says its design takes inspiration from 1930s French Indochine style and the river's landscape. The published deck plan shows 34 suites on three passenger decks below an open top deck, including two Royal Suites of 889 square feet. It will sail only the 15-day Timeless Wonders of Vietnam, Cambodia & the Mekong tour, and Uniworld notes that its amenities may differ from those on ships the company owns. No first sailing date has been announced.

Cabins to avoid & quieter candidates

  • Orchid Deck cabin blocks between Lotus and Sun Deck accommodation

    Compare Orchid Deck cabin overlap

Shortlist a cabin with accommodation immediately above and below. Check the exact footprint, service spaces, lift/stair access and connecting doors.

    Why we flag this

The ship-specific operator diagrams identify accommodation and public-space boundaries on these named decks. The preference depends on actual cabin overlap, not a guarantee that the entire deck is quiet. Check the source plan.

  • Sun Deck accommodation and the separate Top Deck diagram

Check Sun Deck suites near wellness and pool activity

Compare suite access with the pool, outdoor lounge/bar, spa, fitness, library and laundry on the same deck. Ask the operator which parts of Top Deck above are accessible and their operating hours.

    Why we flag this

The provisional operator diagram places suites and multiple public/service facilities on Sun Deck and shows a separate Top Deck. It does not certify noise levels or the use of every overhead area. Check the source plan.

  • Lotus Deck cabins near the restaurant, lift and stairs

    Check Lotus Deck public-space proximity

Compare the precise cabin with the restaurant, lift and stairs. Ask about activity, meal/service hours, doors and circulation for the spaces closest to the room.

    Why we flag this

The operator diagram labels these facilities alongside accommodation. Proximity is an inferred activity tradeoff, not a verified noise complaint. Check the source plan.

  • Sun Deck - Royal and Grand Suite categories

Royal and Grand Suite beds cannot be split

Choose these categories with the fixed four-poster bed arrangement in mind. Ask for another category if separate beds are essential.

    Why we flag this

The original operator plan footnote explicitly states that Royal and Grand Suites have a fixed four-poster bed that cannot be separated. No inferred cabin-number list has been added. Check the source plan.

Location-based guidance, not measured noise or a guarantee of quiet. Flags identify areas to investigate, not every cabin on a deck. Check the exact room, connecting doors, accessibility and the plan for your sailing date. Official artwork assigned to sailing years 2028 by Uniworld’s ship-page year selector. Numbered selectors follow bottom-to-top diagram rows; original deck names, cabin numbers, colors, notes and category key are retained. How can I check whether a cabin is under a pool, nightclub or theatre?

Find the cabin on the selected plan, then compare the same fore-and-aft position on the deck above and below.
