About Otto Sverdrup
Otto Sverdrup is a former HX Hurtigruten Expeditions cruise ship, which sailed 2021 to 2024. She measured 15,690 gross tons and carried 526 guests. She sailed Norwegian Fjords itineraries.
Otto Sverdrup was the name of the 2002-built coastal ship Finnmarken while she sailed in Hurtigruten's expedition fleet, the business that became HX. After a 2020 renovation with new interiors she joined the expedition fleet in 2021 as a hybrid-powered ship, running expedition cruises to Norway round trip from Hamburg with German as the onboard language. Under a 2023 fleet reshuffle, management of the ship passed to Hurtigruten's Norwegian business on 19 January 2024, and she kept the same Hamburg–North Cape route as a Hurtigruten Signature ship. She was renamed Finnmarken again in April 2025.
