Cabins to avoid & quieter candidates

  • Deck 12 between accommodation on Decks 11 and 14

Start with central Deck 12 accommodation

Compare a room with accommodation immediately above and below, away from lift lobbies, stairs, connecting doors and service access. Check laundromat entrances and public or technical footprints separately.

    Why we flag this

The selected ship-specific sailing edition shows accommodation across these decks. This is a conditional layout shortlist, not measured noise data or a guarantee of quiet. Check the source plan.

  • Deck 16 under occupied Deck 17 areas

Check Deck 16 beneath pools and dining

Match the exact room to pool, whirlpool, buffet/dining, outdoor seating and public circulation footprints above. Ask about opening hours and early furniture setup where the areas overlap.

    Why we flag this

The selected operator diagram places major pool and dining areas on the upper deck above portions of this accommodation deck. Some sections contain cabins or different facilities, so the flag does not apply to every room equally. Check the source plan.

  • Deck 9 over occupied Deck 8 areas

Check Deck 9 above public venues

Compare the room with entertainment, dining, bars, theatre and circulation footprints below. Confirm any partial or obstructed view and balcony railing type separately for the actual cabin.

    Why we flag this

The selected ship maps show major public spaces beneath portions of this accommodation area. The flag describes adjacency rather than a confirmed disturbance complaint or a view warning for every cabin. Check the source plan.

  • Deck 17 below Deck 18 public facilities

Check Deck 17 beneath fitness and outdoor areas

Check whether the exact Deck 17 cabin overlaps fitness rooms, salon access, Sanctuary Club or circulation above. Ask about opening and equipment-use times.

    Why we flag this

The selected operator plan shows accommodation on Deck 17 and fitness, wellness and outdoor facilities on Deck 18. This flags possible overlap, not verified noise. Check the source plan.

  • Decks 5 and 6 near spa, dining and entertainment

Check lower accommodation beside and beneath public venues

Check room position against Lotus Spa and dining footprints on these decks and the entertainment/dining areas above Deck 6. Confirm corridor access and operating hours.

    Why we flag this

The selected ship-specific map mixes lower-deck cabins with spa and dining facilities, while Deck 7 contains dining, bars and entertainment. Not every cabin overlaps a venue. Check the source plan.

Location-based guidance, not measured noise or a guarantee of quiet. Flags identify areas to investigate, not every cabin on a deck. Check the exact room, connecting doors, accessibility and the plan for your sailing date. Which cabins are good choices on Star Princess?

For the “Published interactive edition - no sailing window shown” plan, start with these quieter-location candidates: Deck 12 between accommodation on Decks 11 and 14: Compare a room with accommodation immediately above and below, away from lift lobbies, stairs, connecting doors and service access. Check laundromat entrances and public or technical footprints separately. Compare the exact cabin with the decks above and below, nearby lifts and connecting doors. These are layout-based suggestions, not a guarantee of quiet.

Which cabins should I avoid or check carefully on Star Princess?

For the “Published interactive edition - no sailing window shown” plan, review these flagged locations before booking: Deck 16 under occupied Deck 17 areas: Match the exact room to pool, whirlpool, buffet/dining, outdoor seating and public circulation footprints above. Ask about opening hours and early furniture setup where the areas overlap. Deck 9 over occupied Deck 8 areas: Compare the room with entertainment, dining, bars, theatre and circulation footprints below. Confirm any partial or obstructed view and balcony railing type separately for the actual cabin. Deck 17 below Deck 18 public facilities: Check whether the exact Deck 17 cabin overlaps fitness rooms, salon access, Sanctuary Club or circulation above. Ask about opening and equipment-use times. Decks 5 and 6 near spa, dining and entertainment: Check room position against Lotus Spa and dining footprints on these decks and the entertainment/dining areas above Deck 6. Confirm corridor access and operating hours. These flags are not measured noise reports or a warning about every room on a deck. Read the sourced cabin advice for the evidence and any explicit operator warnings.

How can I check whether a cabin is under a pool, nightclub or theatre?

Find the cabin on the selected plan, then compare the same fore-and-aft position on the deck above and below. Check the full venue footprint, including outdoor seating, stages, service areas and entrances. Nearby activity can be a reason to investigate, but does not by itself prove a cabin is noisy. Use the cabin advice and its sources to distinguish layout cautions from operator warnings.
