About Sun Princess

Sun Princess is a former Princess Cruises cruise ship of the Sun class, which sailed 1995 to 2020. She measured 77,000 gross tons and carried 2,010 guests with a crew of 924. She sailed Australia and New Zealand itineraries.

This Sun Princess, the second of the name, was the lead ship of the Sun class and Princess's first purpose-built newbuild since 1984, entering service in December 1995. She measured about 77,000 gross tons and carried about 2,000 guests, and she appeared in the late-1990s series Love Boat: The Next Wave. A two-week dry dock in July 2018 brought new livery, cabins and shops, and in 2019-20 she sailed an extended Western Australia program. Princess sold her to Peace Boat in September 2020, and she now sails as Pacific World.

At Princess's current advertised pre-cruise rates, the gap between Plus and Premier is $35 per person per day. For two guests on a seven-night sailing, that is $490. I would start with that total before deciding that the higher package is only a small daily step up.
