About Ambella

Ambella is joining Ambassador Cruise Line of the R class: in service since 1999, she is due to start sailing for the line on May 2028. She will measure 30,277 gross tons and will carry 670 guests with a crew of 373. She is set to sail Northern Europe, Mediterranean itineraries.

Ambella is an upcoming addition to the Ambassador fleet: Oceania Cruises' Sirena, built in 1999 by Chantiers de l'Atlantique as R Four for Renaissance Cruises and later sailing for Princess as Tahitian Princess and Ocean Princess before her 2016 relaunch as Sirena. Ambassador announced her purchase from Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings on September 22, 2026; she keeps sailing for Oceania until spring 2028.

She will launch Ambassador's new German-market brand, Ambassador Kreuzfahrten, as an adults-only ship for German-speaking guests. The first season runs May to September 2028 from Bremerhaven and Kiel: 11 itineraries plus two repositioning voyages, mostly to the Baltic and Northern Europe with a few sailings to Southern Europe, and full details are due in November 2026. Outside that season she is chartered to the Institute for Shipboard Education as the Semester at Sea campus ship. Ambassador gives her capacity as 670 guests, small enough for ports the big ships cannot reach.
