About S.S. São Gabriel

S.S. São Gabriel is a Uniworld Boutique River Cruises cruise ship, in service since 2021. She carries 98 guests with a crew of 37. She sails Douro itineraries. We rate her 4.0 out of 5.

S.S. São Gabriel is a 98-guest river ship, 262 feet (80 m) long, that Uniworld introduced on Portugal's Douro River in 2021 under a charter arrangement. It takes its name from the ship Vasco da Gama sailed in 1497 and is decorated with azulejo tilework, polished wood and a bright summer palette. One whole deck, the Azores Deck, holds suites with butler service, and the top Blue Azzelij Terrace has a pool. Meals are served in the Feitoria Restaurant, the Heritage Bistro and the Douro Wine Cellar, with the Vintage Bar as the lounge. Most sailings are round trips from Porto, and others end in Lisbon or link with Bordeaux.
