About Silver Galapagos

Silver Galapagos is a former Silversea Cruises cruise ship, which sailed 2013 to 2021. She measured 4,200 gross tons. She sailed Galápagos itineraries.

Silver Galapagos was a small expedition ship that Silversea used for Galápagos cruises from September 2013. She came with Silversea's 2012 purchase of the Ecuadorian operator Canodros, which ran her as Galapagos Explorer II; she was built in Italy in 1990 for Renaissance Cruises. Ecuador caps visitor numbers in the islands, so when the new Silver Origin was built the older ship had to go: Royal Caribbean Group put her up for sale in January 2020, and her sale to an undisclosed buyer was reported in January 2021.
