About Costa Venezia
Costa Venezia is a former Costa Cruises cruise ship of the Vista class, which sailed 2019 to 2023. She measured 135,225 gross tons and carried 4,208 guests with a crew of 1,278. She sailed Mediterranean, Asia itineraries.
Costa Venezia was a 135,225-ton Vista-class ship, the first of two built by Fincantieri for Costa's Chinese market and, when delivered in February 2019, the largest ship built for Costa up to then. Its atrium, theater and restaurants were modeled on Venetian landmarks. After a 53-day first voyage from Trieste to Tokyo, it sailed year-round from Shanghai for Chinese guests until the pandemic, then returned in May 2022 for a Mediterranean season from Istanbul. It ended Costa service on 1 December 2022 and was handed to Carnival Cruise Line in March 2023, where it sails as Carnival Venezia.
